Pinniped Protocols

PAB collects Gray seal acoustic data near Muskeget Island using both dip hydrophones and SoundTrap TOSSIT Moorings. TOSSIT Moorings are used to collect long-term acoustic data during the breeding season, and dip hydrophones are used for short-term opportunistic recordings. For more information on hardware used, reference our Hardware page. The raw soundfiles are sent to UNH for analysis.
